A Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone! It is time for a new challenge, and the teams are going to switch things around so Stella Team will be bringing you inspiration for the first half of the challenges for the rest of the year. This challenge is a Sketch challenge. See below:
For my DT inspiration, I used the new image "Icicles and Crystals" for my card:
I used Copics to colour the image (BV08-BV000 & B05-B0000), along with some glitter gel pens and Stickles in Gunsmoke and Frosted Lace. My chipboard "believe" is from Make It Crafty, as are the little stars. I inked them up with my Copics then used Versamark ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder to make them shine. My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
A close up of the chip board and some of the Stickles
Check out the challenge blog to see the team's other inspiration, and again in two weeks, when the midway post goes up with even more inspiration from our fabulous designers.

1(one) Random Winner (3 single digital images)

Final Sketch Challenge at PCSG

Hello!! Our fearless leader over at Paper Crafting Support Group is taking a much needed break to care for her family, so today's sketch challenge will be our last for awhile. I used a Tiddly Inks image called "Birthday Fishes" for my card today.

I coloured the image with Copics (BG09, BG07 BG45, BG01, G00, BV000 for the fish and her tail). Her hair is E44, E42, YR20

I omitted one element from the sketch because I couldn't get it to work with my card. The DP is from Bazill, and I use Copic Xpress It for my image. It's a simple, but very cute layout that worked perfectly with the image and the extras that come with it.

Thanks for playing along at PCSG. See you there!!

New Sketch Challenge at PCSG

It's time for Sketch Challenge #11 at Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. Here is the sketch for this challenge. It is open for a bit of interpretation, so you don't have to use rectangles, you can use ovals if you prefer. Use the sketch, but also make it your own.

This challenge I used an image by The East Wind called "Aurora 'Spring Butterfly'". I coloured the image with Copics, and drew the background using a Background Technique class at Kit and Clowder. The background class was included as a freebie with one of the Create and Learn classes. You should check some of those classes out. They are awesome and SO in depth. My embellies are from K&Company. I've had them in my stash for FOREVER!!! I didn't use any DP. I am drowning in paper scraps and decided to use some of them up. I can't throw them out, so I have to start putting them to good use.

Please stop by PCSG on Facebook and join in on the fun. This week's prize is a photopolymer stamp set from ToryTale, but we have to have a minimum of five participants to award the prize.

You can also follow me on social media, using those fancy little buttons to the right that my friend Cristena made for me when she designed my blog. ;-)

Aurora Poppy And a Sketch Challenge

It's time for another sketch challenge in the Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. This week we have a sponsor and it's one of my favourite artists!!! The East Wind is sponsoring us and offering a prize of three images from their Etsy store. I used Aurora 'Poppy' for my card this week.

Sketch 10
I coloured the image with Copics (W's and R30's). All of my DP is from Stampin' Up. It is a mat stack called Stacked With Love, and I'm pretty sure I bought it when they retired it, so... Sorry about that! I also used the Petite Petals stamp set, along with the Petite Petal punch, and Calypso Coral ink.

New Sketch Challenge at PCSG

Welcome back to another sketch challenge project for Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. This week is #9 and I have chosen an image by Illustrations by T (a.k.a. Slinky Tart) called Ruby Divine to star in my project. It was perfect timing that Tamara asked me to colour this new beauty up as a preview for her online shop. It was just the right dimensions for this week's challenge!

Sketch #9
I coloured the image with Copics, using R20's for her hair, because her name is Ruby after all. There had to be some red in there somewhere. I used C9-C1 for her dress. All of the DP is from the All Dressed Up Mat Stack from DCWV. I used Stitched Oval Dies from By DieZyne.

Ruby Divine
Stop by PCSG and join in on the challenge using the sketch above. You can use any image you like or no image at all. It's all about the sketch! If you like the image I used you can also join us in the Illustrations by T group on Facebook for some inspiration.

A New Sketch Challenge at PCSG

Time for a new sketch challenge in the Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. We have a mystery prize this week, so who knows what goodie will be won at the end.

I didn't colour an image for this challenge. Instead I stayed true to the sketch and made a more masculine card for my husband's birthday. It's always hard to come up with ideas for cards for him. I don't know why. It's a pretty simple and straightforward card, so if you are just beginning card making, it's super easy to do. I mean, who can't cut squares, right? I just used my paper trimmer to cut all the squares, layered them and adhered them to a black mat. I used one piece of double sided paper from K & Company Black and Ivory DP.

Check out all the other inspirations in the group or on our fearless leader's blog HERE. I hope you will join us on Facebook for this new challenge. It runs from March 12-26. We look forward to seeing your projects!

A New Sketch Challenge at PCSG

It's time for a new sketch challenge in the Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. This week I have used an image by Star Stampz called "Balloons and Ice Cream". I love these stamps because I love chibis! They are SO cute! And they are so perfect for cards for little kids, and I have a few birthdays coming up this spring.
Balloons and Ice Cream
I coloured this with Copics, and drew the clouds and coloured the sky in so she really looked like she was taking off with those balloons. I flipped the sketch on it's side to fit the dimensions of the image. My patterned paper is from Michele R Designs; the flowers and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts; the pearl string is from Kaisercraft. My solid pink paper is scraps from a previous project. I never throw paper away!

Sketch Challenge #6
The challenge runs for two weeks from February 27 to March 11. Drop in, join the group if you haven't already, and join in on the fun!

Charlie and a new Sketch Challenge

Helloooo!!! I'm just back from a wonderful vacation on Curacao. It's hot and sunny every day, so I had nothing to complain about except not enough Rum in my drinks somedays. ;-) I will attach some pics of my vacay below, but first, let's get down to business!

While I was gone, I missed two deadlines. Great. So I'll catch up with both in one post and get my booty in gear for the rest of February, in addition to a super awesome GDT I'm doing next month for one of my most favourite artists. I'm super excited about it!!

While I was getting my tan on, The East Wind released a new image called "Charlie". I have some horse crazy people in my family, so it's perfect for any number of the girls in my family. I use the dappled horse tutorial in Kit and Clowder's All About Animals class to colour my horse. It was my first attempt, so I need a little extra practice, but I think it came out fine for my first try.

I used a sketch for the newest Paper Crafting Support Group sketch challenge #5 which started on February 13. Pop over to the group and join us for this newest challenge. The prize is a $15 gift certificate from Paper Temptress!

And now what you've been waiting for... Pictures from my vacation!! ;-)

Okay, that's it from me!! Make sure you check out The East Wind on Facebook and PCSG.

Sorry Birdie

It's new release day at The East Wind, and today's new image is "Sorry Birdie".

I coloured the image with Copics, and the DP is anyone's guess. It's from a paper stack without a cover that I have had for a few years, and I don't know what brand it is anymore. The little blue gingham paper is from Michele R Designs. We have a challenge running now in our TEW Facebook group, themed "Not now... I'm reading". It runs until February 17th, so head over there and check it out.  There are also twice monthly challenges on the BLOG

I have made my card using a sketch from a sketch challenge in the Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. If you have a paper crafting addiction like I do, then you should be a part of this group. There are sketch challenges every other Saturday, and January 30 is the start of PCSG sketch challenge #4.

PCSG Sketch challenge #4
Thanks for stopping by, and make sure you check out The East Wind and PCSG for inspiration and ideas. Do what I did, and use a TEW image for the sketch challenge!! ;-)

Forget Me Not

Today sees a new release from The East Wind called Aurora "Forget Me Not". She is so pretty and I couldn't wait to colour her up!

I coloured her with Copics, and I used paper scraps from my stash so I don't know which DP this is. I also used rubber stamps from Finnabair's "Don't Forget to Fly" collection. I kept it simple, with a sketch from a challenge on the Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook.

Make sure you stop by our TEW Facebook group to join in on our monthly challenge. There's still lots of time to submit something for the "Oh, the weather outside if frightful" challenge, which ends January 17. There are also twice monthly challenges on the BLOG!

Thanks for stopping by!!
