Spirit of Christmas

I needed to make a Christmas card for my twin daughter's preschool teachers. If I had more time, I would do one for each, but I don't, so one card for the three of them will have to do. Tiddly Inks' "Jill - Spirit of Christmas" is perfect for what I wanted to do because my girls actually have similar hair cuts to the girls in the image. I coloured them in their favourite colours too!

Spirit Of Christmas
I used Copics to colour the image, Michele R Designs digital papers, embellishments and flowers from Live & Love Crafts and Wild Orchid Crafts.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Purples: BV08, BV04, BV02, BV00, BV000
Blues: B06, B05, B04, B02, B00

I hope you like how it turned out! Make sure you check out all the awesome stamps at Tiddly Inks, including the new Molly releases some of which are Christmas themed. They're super cute! 💖

I'm submitting this card into the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks DT Call

It's time for another DT call at Tiddly Inks! I'm putting my hat in the ring again with a card featuring one of Christy's new girls, Molly. I used "Molly Shares", and went with a purple colour scheme and a shabby chic design.

"Molly Shares"
I coloured the image with Copics, using the B60, B63, B66, and B69 for her dress. Her hair is E30, E33, E35, E37. The paper is Butterflies & Hummingbirds from Michele R Designs. My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The other embellies are from Live & Love Crafts. The sentiment stamp is from the Freehand Border Phrase set at Rubbernecker Stamps.

The DT call closes on July 15, so if you love TI like I do, you should pop by and submit one of your Tiddly makes for consideration. There are also challenges every other Tuesday (Tiddly Tuesdays!!), in case a DT role isn't what you're looking for, so there is always an opportunity to play with a Tiddly Ink at the challenge blog HERE.

I hope you like my little card. It's on it's way to a special girl for her birthday, so hopefully she likes it too!

I am also entering this into the Tiddly Inks Make It Pop challenge on the challenge blog.

Final Sketch Challenge at PCSG

Hello!! Our fearless leader over at Paper Crafting Support Group is taking a much needed break to care for her family, so today's sketch challenge will be our last for awhile. I used a Tiddly Inks image called "Birthday Fishes" for my card today.

I coloured the image with Copics (BG09, BG07 BG45, BG01, G00, BV000 for the fish and her tail). Her hair is E44, E42, YR20

I omitted one element from the sketch because I couldn't get it to work with my card. The DP is from Bazill, and I use Copic Xpress It for my image. It's a simple, but very cute layout that worked perfectly with the image and the extras that come with it.

Thanks for playing along at PCSG. See you there!!

Elfy Holidays

I FINALLY got around to getting one of the new Christmas inspired images from Tiddly Inks coloured up. Christy Croll asked for suggestions and I suggested an elf Wryn, and holy smokes!!, she drew one. So of course, I had to buy her. The name of the image is Elfy Holidays.

I coloured her with Copics. The striped paper is from Stampin' Up, the glitter paper is scraps leftover from last year and I can't tell you what brand. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps, and I used By Diezyne stitched circle dies. I am entering this into Tiddly Inks' Holly Jolly challenge on their blog.

Thanks for stopping by and having a peek!! xx

"Foxer Upper" from Tiddly Inks

I'm so privileged and excited to tell you that Christy Croll at Tiddly Inks chose my card using her new image "Foxer Upper" as one of the cards for a feature on Tiddly Inks on the blog Paper Crafter's Library. Paper Crafter's Library is a great place to find trends, tutorials, and info about great stamp artists like Tiddly Inks!

At first I wasn't sure which way to go with the colours. I was thinking something more neutral and earth toned, but for some reason this paper from Michele R Designs was screaming to be used, and I ended up going a little shabby with the design.

In addition to colouring the image with Copics, I used the following supplies:
Michele R Designs digital papers in Isabella
Flowers and white decorative gallon lace from Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearl string from Live & Love Crafts
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet
Beacon's 3-n-1 glue and Zots for adhesives

Thanks so much for visiting!! I hope you like how it turned out. Like I said, I'm so excited and privileged that Christy chose my card. Her DT is amazing and the work they produce is above par!!

Have Heart!

This is my final challenge as a part of the Tiddly Inks DT! (Insert sad face here) The theme this go round is "Have Heart!". I chose a beautiful little image called "Wryn - Mom & Me". My mom is so important to me, and when I think "have heart", I think of my mom, because she must have one of the biggest hearts around. I'm sure most of us feel that way about our mother's. Pop over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog and show us what "Have Heart" means to you. Here's my DT inspiration for you:

Wryn - Mom & Me
The quote is from Honore de Balzac, "The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness." Isn't that the truth?

I coloured this with Copics; used the Designer Grunge set of digital papers from Michele R Designs; Shabby Blue Frantage; and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I Am Roses.

Make sure you check out the blog and are signed up for the newsletter so you are getting all the latest and greatest from Christy! Take a wander through the rest of the DT ladies creations too! They are so fantastic! leave them a little love on their blogs too! Thanks for stopping by!!

Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks

It's another Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks, and my DT term with them is coming to an end at the end of August. It's a sad thing, to be sure. I'm going to take a little break this fall as I get my twins into pre-school, and will be hauling them to the University of Alberta on the weekdays. I'm going to focus on only a couple of DT's until I see how my days are going to go, so I won't be putting my hat in the ring for another term with Tiddly Inks until I see how my schedule is going to look.

Today I'm using "Fairy Tenderhearted" for my make.

The papers are from Bo Bunny and Kaisercraft. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the lace from Live & Love Crafts, and the dies are from La La Land Crafts. I coloured this with Copics, and a little Clear Star Gelly roll pen on her wings and shoes.

I hope you like how it turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting! xx

Paws for Thought Challenge at Tiddly Inks

A new challenge is LIVE at Tiddly Inks' challenge blog, and the theme is "Paws for Thought". I see "Paws" I think cats!! I love cats. I love dogs. I really love most animals, but we have a cat so cats are what pop to mind. I used the Cat Love Fever set which is awesome because it comes with not just the one image. There are also sentiments and cats by themselves. It's a very versatile set.

Cat Love Fever
The paper is all from Bo Bunny (from a nice little spending spree a couple months ago). It's from the Jazmyne Glitter collection. I love the colours! I coloured the image with Copics, using E40's for her hair and RV11-17 for her dress and shoes.

Head over to the challenge blog and submit your project for a chance to win! Share with us over in the Facebook group too! I hope you like how she turned out! Thanks for stopping by! xx

Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks

Hello lovely crafters!! It's another Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks, and I had so much fun colouring this one up. I killed two birds with one stone, making a project for Fab Friday and a birthday card for my twin girls, who will be three in September. They are growing up so fast.

Wryn & Emmy - BFF
I coloured the image with Copics. The paper is from Kaiserkraft. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the lace is from Live & Love Crafts, and the little pearl string is also from Kaiserkraft. Make sure you check back into the challenge blog to find out who won the last challenge, and to participate in the new challenge starting on August 4. It's going to be a cute one!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you check out the other DT members makes too. They are a talented group of ladies! I'm so lucky to be in the same group with them!

Summer Song Challenge at Tiddly Inks

This next challenge theme at Tiddly Inks is "Summer Song" and it goes LIVE today. I picked "Under the Sea" because I have a couple of little girls that are CRAZY for mermaids these days, so of course "The Little Mermaid" is a big hit in our house at the moment. When they saw me colouring a mermaid they went bananas!! And for me, the ocean makes me think of hot summer days, but I spent several years living in Florida, so that's to be expected.

I used the image  "Mermaid Miranda" for my card. I also used some techniques from a Create & Learn class over at Kit & Clowder to create an underwater scene.

I coloured this with Copics, using the Hex Chart to find colours that were similar, though not necessarily all in the same blending family. Her tail is a mix of Y and YR. I worked some of the same yellow that I used on her tail into her hair.

Make sure you check out this challenge and share your makes on the Tiddly Inks Facebook page too! We love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my project.

Anything Goes Challenge at Tiddly Inks

It's time for another challenge over at Tiddly Inks and this time the theme is Anything Goes Challenge. I used a new release stamp called Wryn Floating Along, which is actually pretty representative of my family's life right now. We are spending as much time this summer at our cabin as we can, and floating along in the lake is a daily must.

I coloured this with Copics, the paper is from my stash, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The Copics I used are:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Hair: E35, Y26, Y21, YR30
Hat: E30's
Dress: YR07, YR16, Y38, Y17, Y13
Flip Flops: G29, G28, G05, YG06
Tube: B39, B26, B24, B32
Water: BG09, BG07, BG49, BG45, BG53

Grab your favourite Tiddly Ink stamp HERE and join in on the challenge over at the challenge blog. Make sure you are sharing your TI makes with us over on the Facebook page too! We love to see what you come up!

Fab Friday & Magical Friendship

It's another Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks and this week I have coloured up "Magical Friendship" for my make.

I made this with a special friend in mind, who is going through a rough patch. I want to send her a little "hello" so she knows I'm thinking of her and keeping her in my prayers.

I coloured this with Copics, using Shabby Vintage Rose digital paper from Michele R Designs and lace from Live & Love Crafts.

Our Let's Go Gothic challenge is still happening for a couple more days over at the challenge blog so head on over there and show us what you can do! Make sure you join us in the Facebook group and share with us whatever makes you come up, regardless of the challenge theme. We love to see them!

Thanks for visiting! Feel free to leave a little love below! It really makes my day to read your comments!

Let's Get Gothic Challenge at Tiddly Inks

There's a new challenge starting at Tiddly Inks today!! The theme is "Let's Get Gothic". There are so many gothic themed images to choose from in the TI store, so you should have no problem finding one to enter the challenge with. I chose "Baby Dragon Queen" and I used a Make It Crafty digital background also. It took me awhile to colour the entire thing, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
"Baby Dragon Queen"
I coloured the entire picture with Copics. I hope you run over to the Challenge Blog and enter your own creation. Make sure you share with us in the Facebook group as well. I hope you've signed up for the newsletter so you're staying up to date on all the new releases and freebies too!

Thanks for stopping by!! xx

Owl Always Love You Tiddly Inks!

It's Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks, and I'm using a new release called "Owlways Love You". It is available in digital and clear stamp formats. I coloured it with Copics and used some of the new flowers from Wild Orchid, that I just bought at the Kit & Clowder Retreat (see below for more about that bit of fun). I was able to get some live and in person advice from Alyce Keegan about my pleats, which are wrong by the way, so that was surreal. And she was very nice about telling me that they were wrong. lol!! Unfortunately, this was due the day after I came back and I did not have time to recolour it, otherwise it would have been late. I hate to be late, and only being on the TI DT for a few months means I absolutely CANNOT be late.

Don't forget there is a Super Power Challenge going on right now at the challenge blog. It's over in just a few days, so head over there now and submit your project!

Now I have to tell you about the Kit & Clowder Retreat I just went to in Anaheim. Oh. My. Goodness! It was so fabulous!! I had such a good time and met some really awesome ladies who are also awesome crafters! There were some seriously talented ladies there. I had the great pleasure of meeting Kelli Hull, who is my newest Bestie for Life. We clicked right away, like we'd known each other for ages. And Nadja Robbins, who is just the sweetest and strongest person you could ever meet. These two are lifelong friends to me now. I couldn't have been luckier to meet the right people as soon as I got there. Here are some pics of the fun we had:

Fab Friday with a Sweet Tooth

Hello all! It is Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks and this week I have inked up a Sweet Tooth called "Semi Sweet" for some DT inspiration.

I coloured this image with Copics, using BG10-18 and C3-C9. I put a little BG15 in her hair to funk it up a bit. I love some funky coloured hair! I used a Clear Star gel pen for the cupcake wrapper. In the top left and bottom right corner I stamped a little circle of dots and then applied aged black Frantage over it. I used a Spellbinders die for the back mat of the image. The digital papers are from Spunky Tart. They are called Don't Stop and you can find those HERE. The polka dot paper is just some leftover paper I had in my stash.

Here is a close up of her skirt, where I used Liquid Pearls for the ruffle on her skirt. Lucky for me I had a colour that matched exactly the colour I used, since I didn't have the idea until AFTER I coloured it.

These are some of the cutest little roses I have seen. I think they are made out of resin. They are from Tim Holtz, and they are cream coloured, so I brushed some gold Viva Decor paint on them.

Make sure you head over to the challenge blog to enter into the May Flowers challenge. It's almost over! Just a couple more days left to enter!

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my newest Tiddly Ink make! Feel free to leave a comment below! I love to hear from you!

Flowers Challenge at Tiddly Inks

Today is the start of a new challenge at Tiddly Inks and the theme is "May Flowers." You can use flower themed papers, images or stamps with flowers, flowers as embellishments, or even make your own flowers. I used the new image Scooting By w/Kitty for my DT inspiration make this week. Head over there and show us what you got!
Scooting By w/Kitty
The papers I used are from Michele R Designs (the Coral Chic paper has flowers on it), and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I Am Roses. I coloured the image with Copics.

I went on a shopping excursion to Michaels (a really big craft store here, for those of you who don't have them), and with a list of two items, left with about 20, including my new little easel and a tan linen canvas board I found for staging my cards. I really like the way the photos are turning out now that I have dressed up my staging area. I also invested in some multimedia supplies, so I will have to have a go at that in the near future instead of just making cards all the time. Wish me luck with that endeavor.

A reminder about the Tiddly Inks Challenge:
Only cards with Tiddly Inks images or Stamping Bella rubber stamps please.
Challenges must be entered by 10 PM on the following Monday.
We choose One winner per challenge and a top 3. The winner will receive $6 of Tiddly Inks images.
The winners are posted on Friday following the end of the challenge.

Fabby Friday at Tiddly Inks

This is so exciting for me, I can not even tell you or express it to you through a blog post! If you follow me, you know I submitted an entry to Tiddly Inks to be on their Design Team... and I made the team!!!! I am so excited! Tiddly Inks was one of the very first digis I ever bought and coloured. To be on the DT is a real honour and I am thrilled to be working with some really awesome ladies! Check out all the new ladies HERE!

So getting to the business at hand, today is Friday... Fabby Friday to be exact, and that means a Tiddly Ink DT make from me! I am using the new release Love You Mostest. I kept it clean and simple, with just a little shabby pink Frantage for bling.

The sentiment is by Verve Stamps. I stamped it in silver pigment ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I added a little layer of lace from Wild Orchid Crafts and matted it on pink shimmer cardstock, then matted that on the polka dot cardstock from DCWV. Nice and clean, and perfect for a wedding or anniversary.

Well, that's it from me today for Tiddly Inks! Make sure you check out the SHOP and the BLOG, and sign up for the newsletter! There's always great info in there about FREE images and discounts, so you don't want to miss any of that!

Thank so much for stopping by! xx

Tiddly Inks DT Call, Take 2

There's another DT call going on at Tiddly Inks, and I've decided to throw my hat in the ring one more time. This time I'm using the image Sk8tr. I decided to just go CAS this time, so no frills and fussy stuff on this one. CAS is really more my style, as I enjoy putting the effort into the colouring more than the decorating of the card, although sometimes a blinged up card is nice too.

I coloured this with Copics, and I used coordinating paper from the DCWV Nana's Kids mat stack. I love the bright primary colours for a boy's card and the simplicity of the style. Boys don't necessarily appreciate ribbons and flowers all over their cards. ;-)

Make sure you visit the Tiddly Inks store HERE! Check out some of the New Releases, and Christy has brought back freebies on Tuesdays. If you happen to pick up the freebie, colour it up and share it with everyone over at the TI Facebook page. And make sure you stay up to date with all the goings on by following her BLOG.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my skater dude! We'll see if he gets me on the DT. Either way, I really like this card. It's probably one of my favourites. I would probably keep it, but I have some nephews who have birthdays coming up that might appreciate it.
