New Sketch Challenge at PCSG

Welcome back to another sketch challenge project for Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. This week is #9 and I have chosen an image by Illustrations by T (a.k.a. Slinky Tart) called Ruby Divine to star in my project. It was perfect timing that Tamara asked me to colour this new beauty up as a preview for her online shop. It was just the right dimensions for this week's challenge!

Sketch #9
I coloured the image with Copics, using R20's for her hair, because her name is Ruby after all. There had to be some red in there somewhere. I used C9-C1 for her dress. All of the DP is from the All Dressed Up Mat Stack from DCWV. I used Stitched Oval Dies from By DieZyne.

Stop by PCSG and join in on the challenge using the sketch above. You can use any image you like or no image at all. It's all about the sketch! If you like the image I used you can also join us in the Illustrations by T group on Facebook for some inspiration.

Out of This World

This is the last blog post for Slinky Tart until October 1. We're going on a little break to enjoy the rest of the summer and give everyone a little time off.

I am using Astronaughty for my make this week. I coloured her with Copics, and used some glitter gel pens for the dots around her. The paper is bits and pieces from my stash, except for the back mat which is from the Rock Star mat stack by DCWV.

Astronaughty
Check out the shop HERE for lots of other great images; also there is Spunky Tart HERE, and Illustrations by T, which is Tamara's new brain child of mandalas for you to colour. Here are a couple examples of her work:

They are so awesome! I can't wait to sit down and start colouring one. Thanks for stopping by! I'll see again with some more Slinkies in October, but we're still crafting away elsewhere, so you'll hear from me again soon enough! xx

You Can't Beat Me!

A new smexy from Slinky Tart called "You Can't Beat Me" just had to be coloured up this week! And to make things even better, Tamara made some more digital papers called Retro Hipster that go along perfectly with the colours I wanted to use. The colours of the papers are so rich!

The DT is going to be going on a little summer break from August 1 to October 1 so we can spend some summer time with our families. I'll still be colouring up some Slinkies, but on a less regular basis. Make sure you are checking in on the Facebook page because if there are any new images, you'll see them there first!

Rocking Mom

Another awesome week at Slinky Tart! Here is my newest make using Rocking Mom! I've had this stamp for forever but this is the first time I've actually coloured her.

I coloured her with Copics and used papers from the DCWV Rock Star mat stack. A few little star brads and she was done.

Make sure you check out the blog to see all the other DT ladies' amazing makes this week. And check out our Facebook page. If smexy isn't always what you're looking for, then check out the Spunky Tarts. There are some great images there too, plus awesome digital papers.

Dayna of the Dead

It's another DT inspiration week at Slinky Tart and this week I have coloured up Dayna of the Dead.

I coloured her with Copics after cutting her out with a Spellbinders die. I used Aged Scarlet Frantage around the image and then applied Black Soot Distressed Ink by Tim Holtz to the outside edge. I finished it off with a couple flowers from I Am Roses and used some scrap pieces of paper from my stash for the mat and the base.

I hope you like how she turned out! Thanks for stopping by!

New Stuff Happening at Slinky Tart

In addition to the new stamp that was released by Slinky Tart this week, Tamara has also started creating digital papers, and they are fabulous! So this week I made two projects with Slinky Tart images and one of them is with her set of Don't Stop digital papers. I used the image Trudie's Tribute, which was a special digi Tamara did for our honorary Slinky Trudie Howard. I also used the sketch for the sketch challenge we are having in our Slinky Tart Facebook group.

My next project was done using the new digi "So Annoyed...times 8". I kept it simple and only used a Cricut embossing folder for the base.
"So Annoyed... times 8"

For both cards, I coloured them with Copics. It looks like I'm really into aqua blue this week. lol!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Slinkies! I hope you like them and are inspired to colour up a Slinky yourself. Also, Tamara is holding a GDT call, so post your makes on the wall of our Slinky Tart group and maybe she will pick you to join us for a month.

'Oh Sweet Amy'

What a crazy time we had in Facebook-land last week. Some of you might have heard that Slinky Tart images have been banned from a certain Facebook group because they are considered too sexy. Well, there is a new group on Facebook called Outside the Lines, which is going to be holding challenges to push you out of your comfort zone. And no image is too risque. Make sure you check it out and get in on the fun! If you want to join Slinky Tart's Facebook group, you will have to ask one of the Admin because it is a Secret group and you can't see it if you search for it. I am one of the Admin, so pop me a message on FB if you want in.

This is my DT inspiration week for Slinky Tart. I decided to use "Oh Sweet Amy" which is one of the newest releases. She's definitely channeling a little Amy Winehouse here.

All of the paper I used is from a coordinating Black Currant stack from DCWV. Flowers are from I Am Roses; the filigree corner is a die from LaLa Land Crafts. The Copics I used are as follows:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Eyes - B34, B32 and Black Prismacolor Pencil
Hair - W7, W5, W3
Lingerie and Hair Bow - RV69, RV66, RV63, RV52
I used a Gold Gel pen on her earrings and the brooch on her top.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Left Of Center Creative Challenges  - Spots and/or Stripes
Crafty Creations Challenges- Seeing Spots

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure you check out Outside The Lines on Facebook, and go get your own Slinky Tart to get your smexy on!

Unchained Melody

Tamara is on a roll these days at Slinky Tart with some really awesome images. And not only is she drawing like crazy, but she has started streaming video on her Slinky Tart site. I sat in on a colour along with her the other day while she walked us through colouring skin with pencils. It was fantastic! I encourage you to go check it out.

Today I'm sharing my newest Slinky Tart project with the image "Unchained Melody".

I coloured her with Copics. I used DCWV Rock Star mat stack for the backing paper, and cut out the music notes with my Cameo, adding a little silver glitter around the inside edges. I just kept it simple.

I hope you go check out Slinky Tart. She's adding new images to the store all the time, and they are fabulous!! And make sure you share your creations with us on the Facebook page. Thanks for stopping by! xx

Slinky Tart - Narissa

Some DT inspiration for you today from Slinky Tart, the home of sexy pin-up inspired ladies. My make this week is the mermaid Narissa. I never saw a mermaid with a bum like this before, and that's one reason why Tamara's work over at Slinky Tart is one of a kind.

I coloured her with Copics, used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I Am Roses, a Spellbinders die, Shabby Blue Frantage, and Liquid Pearls.
The Copics I used are as follows:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Hair - V000, V01, V02, V04, V08
Tail - BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18 & V000, V01, V02, V04
R20's for her lips, the starfish and her bracelet

I hope you like her! Tamara has been super busy and has a lot of new images in store, so go check it out!

Knowledge is a Good Thing

A fun card today with an image from Slinky Tart! I just love colouring these images. There's nothing else like them that I've seen. These pin up style girls are some of my absolute favourites! This one is Knowledge.

I coloured her up with Copics. I decided to have some fun and gave her blonde and pink two toned hair. I used E50's and R80's. I have so much miscellaneous paper, and I can't tell you the brand of what I used, but it did come in a coordinating pad. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, as are the little pearls. I also used a Lattice Spellbinder die.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you liked it!

New Year New Brand

As you might have heard, The Stamping Chef closed their doors and the new Slinky Tart is live for business! If you're looking for sexy pin up type images for projects then THIS is the place to be! There is also a new Facebook page for those of you that haven't migrated over from The Stamping Chef yet. And why is that? Get over there!

We are doing things a little differently now. Five Design Team members all coloured up the featured image of the week: VALENTINA. She's just in time for Valentines Day, which is just a little over a month away.

I used my Cameo to cut out a confetti heart background on black paper and laid it over red glitter cardstock. I cut the same background out on white, and used the white heart "scraps" to decorate the front of the card. I tied it with a sheer red ribbon, and Voila!
I coloured her with Copics, and added a little extra "shine" to her eyes with a white Molotow paint pen.

Now go check out the new Slinky Tart website and visit us on Facebook!
