Joyous Occasion

We are at the halfway point of our Joyous Occasion challenge on the Aurora Wings Challenge blog. It is time for the Stella Team to bring you our inspiration pieces for the next half of the challenge, and I made a birthday card for my niece using "Marie Antoinette". I cropped the image and printed it out at about 4" square. I really wanted to get into the fine details of this image which is why I cropped it and printed it off bigger than usual (my norm is 3.5"). My completed card is 5x5 inches.

I coloured the image with Copics. I used white vellum for the back mat, then layered cheesecloth and lace on top of that. I matted my image on black so it would really pop, and I love the contrast you get layering on black. My flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Now pop on over to the challenge blog, if you haven't been there already, check out the other inspiration pieces and show us what you got! This challenge runs through  June 16.

Our prizes this challenge will include:

1(one) Artist's Choice Winner to be chosen by Mitzi from all entries using an Aurora Wings image (Custom badge+3 single digital images)

1(one) Random Winner (3 single digital images)

Top 3 To be selected by the Design Teams from all entries (Custom badge+1 single digital image each)

A Cat with a Tie

Happy Monday! Back again with some Rubbernecker Stamps inspiration for you. I used a few products from Rubbernecker on this card: Cat with a Tie stamp and the coordinating die, Happy Birthday stamp set, and the nested circle dies

I used paper from the Teen Stack set of DP from DCWV. The ribbon is from May Arts. I used a sketch from my friend Cristena's sketch book which you can buy HERE. It definitely helps to have a sketch for some inspiration somedays. I am so frazzled with my kids some days, it's lucky I remember to make a card at all!!

Tomorrow is the start of a brand new challenge, so make sure you stop by the challenge blog and check it out! The prizes for first and second place are a $25 and $15 gift certificate respectively.

I have popped the links to the Rubbernecker products used on my card below, so you can find them easily:

Birthday Butterflies

Hello all! I'm back with more Rubbernecker Stamps! I have made a birthday card with the Butterflies 2 and Happy Birthday clear sets. I love butterflies and I love this HB set because it has so many different sized sentiments. It's got whatever you need!

I used a variety of butterflies set to create a background mat for the card with VersaMark ink and heat embossing. I used a blue and a pink powder for a two-tone look, and used the same on the sentiment stamps. I used two of the HB stamps:

Butterflies 2 & Happy Birthday

You can make so many different types of cards with these butterflies. They are fantastic!

Tomorrow is the start of a new challenge on the Rubbernecker Blog. Make sure you pop over to the challenge page and see what the theme is this fortnight. The prizes for first and second place are a $25 and $15 gift certificate respectively.

A Bunch of Bears

Happy Monday everyone! Today I have a new Rubbernecker Stamps release called "Bunch of Bears" that I have made into a birthday card.

I coloured the image with Copics, and used Stampin' Up's Playful Palette paper collection to make my card. The lace on the mat is from Maya Road. I also used the "Happy Birthday" set for my sentiment. I coloured my bears natural bear colours, though my Polar bears are a little too grey, and coloured the stuffed bear pink so he stood out a bit more. This is a really cute stamp that is perfect for little kids.

Tomorrow is the start of another challenge on the BLOG, but I'm out of the challenge rotation now. We have had some wonderful new additions to our DT in the last week and some of them will be taking over the challenges as the new Challenge Team. Make sure you are visiting the blog every other Tuesday to see what the new theme is.

Butterflies and Birthdays

Team 1 is back with some inspiration for you from Rubbernecker Stamps this week. There is also a new challenge going live tomorrow so make sure you check back in for that. Today I have made a birthday card using Butterflies 1 and the Happy Birthday set.

I coloured the butterflies with Copics, using R80s. I was in a black, white, and pink mood today, if you can't tell. I used some heart patterned paper, but kept it pretty simple overall. I wanted the butterflies to really pop.

Make sure you stop by the Rubbernecker blog to check out the other beautiful cards made by our talented DT ladies. I will have another card up tomorrow for the blog challenge, so pop by tomorrow to see what the challenge theme is. I had a lot of fun with it.
