Butterfly Knot

Today I have a new release from The East Wind called 'Butterfly Knot'.

I coloured this with Copics, using R20's and BG 90's for her dress, and W's for her hair. The paper is from Michele R Designs, and I just love her digital papers! This one is Butterfly Garden. The sentiment is a Finnabair stamp from Prima. The wood butterfly is from Michaels.

Make sure you check out our Facebook group for contests, including one that is going on right now called "Rainbows". We also do joint events with Kit and Clowder, so you don't want to miss those. They are always a lot of fun, and there is always a chance to win some free images!

There are also twice monthly challenges on The East Wind's blog HERE!!! And a freebie comes to you on the first of every month if you're signed up for the newsletter, so go get on that!

Aurora Poppy And a Sketch Challenge

It's time for another sketch challenge in the Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. This week we have a sponsor and it's one of my favourite artists!!! The East Wind is sponsoring us and offering a prize of three images from their Etsy store. I used Aurora 'Poppy' for my card this week.

Sketch 10
I coloured the image with Copics (W's and R30's). All of my DP is from Stampin' Up. It is a mat stack called Stacked With Love, and I'm pretty sure I bought it when they retired it, so... Sorry about that! I also used the Petite Petals stamp set, along with the Petite Petal punch, and Calypso Coral ink.

Hair Heaven

Another contest is up at The East Wind's Facebook group and the theme this month is "Rainbows". You have to incorporate a rainbow or all the colours of the rainbow using a TEW image. I chose to use "Aurora Hair Heaven" for my project, and I went pastel with my rainbow instead of vibrant.

Hair Heaven by The East Wind
I coloured the image with Copics. I had to blend repeatedly to get all the colours to blend so there weren't lines between the colours. I think it came out pretty good. The papers are from Kaisercraft, and the embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Head over to our Facebook group and join in this month for a chance to win 3 images of your choice. There's also a runner-up prize of a 25% off coupon for the Etsy shop. There are twice monthly challenges on the BLOG, and a freebie on the first of every month if you are signed up for the newsletter.

New Sketch Challenge at PCSG

Welcome back to another sketch challenge project for Paper Crafting Support Group on Facebook. This week is #9 and I have chosen an image by Illustrations by T (a.k.a. Slinky Tart) called Ruby Divine to star in my project. It was perfect timing that Tamara asked me to colour this new beauty up as a preview for her online shop. It was just the right dimensions for this week's challenge!

Sketch #9
I coloured the image with Copics, using R20's for her hair, because her name is Ruby after all. There had to be some red in there somewhere. I used C9-C1 for her dress. All of the DP is from the All Dressed Up Mat Stack from DCWV. I used Stitched Oval Dies from By DieZyne.

Stop by PCSG and join in on the challenge using the sketch above. You can use any image you like or no image at all. It's all about the sketch! If you like the image I used you can also join us in the Illustrations by T group on Facebook for some inspiration.
