Merry Christmas from Rubbernecker Stamps!

Merry Christmas everyone! We are doing a special Christmas post at the Rubbernecker blog and most, if not all, of the Design Team is participating in our run up to the holidays!

I made a card with the "Snow Flake Frame" and the "Season of Gladness" sentiment stamp. I wanted it to look a little vintage, and I hope I succeeded at least a little. I used some beautiful Christmas  ribbon from May Arts, and some star chipboard shapes from Southern Ridge Trading Co. I used Versamark ink and gold embossing powder to make them gold. I used some Sizzix Christmas ornament dies from Stampin' Up for the circle and the tiny little ornament shape up near the starts. I've tucked it behind the ribbon so you really have to look for it. ;-)

I hope you like how it turned out. I'm kind of in love with it, to tell the truth. 💗💗 We will back in the New Year with some new inspiration for you and some new challenges. In the meantime, enjoy your holidays and your families. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

More Christmas!

Today I am bringing you another Christmas card using the "Snowflakes and Stardust" set. I heat embossed the tree with green glitter embossing powder. As usual the picture does not do it justice. even angling the card did not catch the light like I wanted, so you will have to take my word for it. 😉 My paper is from Bazill and Stampin' Up.

We will be bringing you a special Christmas post on Christmas Day that features all of the Rubbernecker Designers. Make sure you check back in for that one. There will also be a New Years post, but all challenges for 2017 are currently over. They will be back in January and we hope you will join us on the blog for a chance to win a couple of awesome prizes.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Christmas is right around the corner and it's time to start sharing some Christmas cards I've made with Rubbernecker Stamps "Snowflakes and Stardust" set. There are a lot of stamps included in this set: sentiments, trees, snowflakes. It's really very versatile and you could make a half dozen cards or more with this one set alone. I used one of the swirly trees, a sentiment, and one of the snowflakes.

I used red glitter embossing powder on the tree, and silver on the snowflakes. It is nice and sparkly in person. A picture does not always do a good job of catching the light to see the detail when you have heat embossed an image. All of my paper is from Stampin' Up.

We will be bringing you a special Christmas post on Christmas Day that features all of the Rubbernecker Designers. Make sure you check back in for that one. There are not any more challenges for the remainder of 2017. They will pick back up again January!

Anything But A Card Challenge

A new challenge is up on the Aurora Wings Challenge blog and the theme is "Anything But A Card". I made gift tags and ornaments, using mostly Holiday sprites in addition to the Kitten in a Stocking and the Christmas Puppy stamps. I will add links for each image at the end of my post so you can easily find them. :-)

I coloured the images with Copics and some Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. I only printed them out at 2" tall because that is how big the tag punch and ornament dies are. I didn't have a lot of space to colour with the images being so small, so I stayed away from images that were too detailed. My kids actually want to colour their own ornaments now, so that is going to be a fun little activity for us in the near future. In the picture below you can see how I decorated the other side with some of the other dies from the framelits set I used. It is from Stampin' Up and it's called "Merry Tags".

Pop on over to the challenge blog to enter your creation(s). You can enter up to THREE times if you use an AW image on each entry! The prizes for this challenge are: 1 (one) Artist's Choice Award Winner to be selected from entries using Aurora Wings digis ($20 GC and Badge); 1 (one)  Random Winner ($20 GC); and a TOP 3 Winners to be chosen by the DT ($10 GC and Badge).
